Growth Through Action At Adventurelore, children and teens build confidence, develop life skills, and strengthen emotional and social well-being through meaningful experiences, supportive relationships, and adventure. Based in Danville, New Hampshire, Adventurelore has served children, families, schools, and communities since 1982. Our services include **individual counseling, therapeutic groups, social-emotional learning programs, and summer adventure camps**. Counseling That Engages the Whole Child Not every child connects best by sitting in an office and talking. Our adventure-based counseling combines therapeutic conversation with purposeful activities, movement, problem-solving, and outdoor experiences. This approach can be especially engaging for children and teens who learn through doing, have difficulty sitting and talking for long periods, or need time and shared experiences to build trust before opening up. Activities create natural opportunities to work through real challenges as they happen. A participant might practice managing frustration, asking for help, communicating a need, working through anxiety, trying something unfamiliar, solving a problem, or recovering from a setback. Our clinicians then help connect those experiences to life at home, at school, and with friends. We take time to understand each participant’s strengths, needs, interests, and comfort level. Support and challenge are balanced thoughtfully so children and teens can experience success while gradually building the confidence and skills to take their next step. **Individual counseling is available for ages 7–20**, with support for concerns including: - Anxiety - ADHD-related challenges - Emotional regulation - Self-esteem and confidence - Social difficulties - Peer and family relationships - Coping skills - Problem-solving and resilience When appropriate, we involve parents and caregivers so that skills developed in counseling can carry over into everyday life. Our interdisciplinary team includes **mental health counselors, social workers, and a certified physical education teacher**. This combination of clinical, educational, and experiential backgrounds helps us support young people in ways that extend beyond traditional office-based services. Connection, Confidence, and Adventure **Therapeutic Groups** Our therapeutic groups give children and teens opportunities to develop social skills, strengthen peer relationships, build confidence, and practice coping and communication skills with guidance from a clinician. **Summer Adventure Programs** Our day camps and overnight adventure camps combine outdoor skills, recreation, and memorable experiences with opportunities to build independence, perseverance, friendships, responsibility, and confidence. Ages, schedules, and fees vary by program. Getting Started **We currently have immediate openings for individual counseling.** Families are welcome to contact our office to discuss their child’s needs. We can help determine which Adventurelore clinician, service, or program may be the best fit. **Adventurelore is an approved New Hampshire Education Freedom Account (EFA) provider.** Eligible students may be able to use available EFA funds toward qualifying Adventurelore services, subject to EFA eligibility and expense approval. **Adventurelore** Danville, New Hampshire 603-382-4661 [office@adventurelore.org](mailto\:office@adventurelore.org) [www.adventurelore.org](http://www.adventurelore.org)
