Fiddlehead Field

The Fiddlehead Field Youth Orchestra Program is an El Sistema-inspired afterschool music program for ages 4-17. We meet four days a week at the Dole Mill to learn instrumental performance skills as a tool in our toolkit to strengthen our community, bring people together, and foster joy and beauty in the place where we live. We call this concept Citizen Artistry. We also seek to promote the healthy growth and development of children through the study, practice, and performance of music. Throughout the year, we engage our students on character development in the areas of responsibility, commitment, collaboration, leadership, resourcefulness and attitude.
