Major Choice: Equipping Students with Life Skills for Success Many high school students feel lost and confused when it comes to planning their future. This uncertainty can lead to wasted time, money, and missed opportunities as they struggle to identify their strengths and explore career paths. Major Choice is a unique online course designed to help students 16-24 years old find their way, with a specialized focus on supporting students with IEPs and 504 plans. Through personalized mentorship, engaging activities, and interactive technology, Major Choice empowers students to: - Develop essential life skills: Major Choice prioritizes building critical life skills, including communication, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and time management, that are crucial for success in any career path. Students engage in activities and discussions that help them build self-awareness, set goals, and develop strategies for overcoming challenges. - Discover their strengths and passions: Through self-assessments, personalized feedback from mentors, and exploration of different career fields, students gain a deeper understanding of their unique skills, interests, and values. - Explore diverse career options: Major Choice provides students with a comprehensive overview of various career paths, including educational requirements, salary expectations, and potential growth opportunities.
