Literacy Tree offers an evidence-based, structured literacy program designed to bring students rapidly to grade-level literacy. With six carefully developed levels, our program ensures that students gain the foundational skills necessary for confident, lifelong reading: The Seeds (brings students to early K Level): Builds letter/sound recognition and early phonemic awareness. The Sprouts (brings students to a K Level): Strengthens phonemic awareness, helping students with letter/sound recognition begin blending sounds. The Roots (brings students to a 1st Grade Level): Establishes a solid foundation in reading with short vowel sounds, CVC words, digraphs, and consonant blends. The Climb (brings students to a 2nd Grade Level): Expands on The Roots, introducing trigraphs, glued sounds, R-controlled vowels, word endings, and silent e. The Missing Link (brings students to a 3rd Grade Level): Unlocks advanced decoding skills by teaching 25 vowel teams and 6 syllable types, enabling students to confidently tackle multisyllabic words. Fluency & Comprehension (3rd Grade and Beyond): Enhances fluent reading and comprehension through strategies like prediction, inference, and character/plot analysis. Each level is delivered live, online, by certified reading specialists over a 12-week cycle, meeting twice a week, with additional Virtual Classroom resources provided for practice and reinforcement between sessions.
